The AQUAbox Spyder introduces an innovative approach to self-watering for those passionate about home gardening. It operates without the need for a direct water line, pumps, or timers. By connecting it to a water barrel, it can autonomously irrigate an area of up to 13 square feet.
Designed to be placed directly in the soil, the AQUAbox Spyder is perfectly suited for traditional garden beds as well as popular raised bed setups. Water is evenly distributed beneath the soil surface over a 13-square-foot area through a network of capillary wicks extending from the device.
At the heart of the AQUAbox Spyder is the AQUAvalve5 system, which intelligently draws water from a connected barrel or reservoir based on plant needs, promoting highly efficient water usage. Plant roots naturally grow towards the moisture provided by the capillary wicks under the soil. For optimal performance, it's recommended to replace these wicks each growing season.
The system includes a 6.6-foot length of 3/8-inch tubing and a special reducing connector with a built-in filter. This setup facilitates easy attachment to a standard garden hose for connection to a water barrel tap (hose not included).
A unique feature of the AQUAbox Spyder is the built-in spirit level in its lid, ensuring accurate and level placement in the ground.
