AutoPot Tray2Grow is a completely automated and power-free irrigation system that offers five different ways to water and feed your plants. It is one of the most versatile products in the AutoPot range and can accommodate a wide range of planting options, including seed trays, small pots, grow bags, micro herbs, coco slabs, and planters.
Tray2Grow is a flexible and easy-to-use system catering to various plant sizes and types. It allows gardeners to customize their irrigation needs and provides a sustainable and efficient way to grow plants without needing electricity.
Tray2Grow features two unique watering methods to make this one of the most versatile systems on the market.
- Capillary spikes are fitted to the inside of the Tray2Grow. These spikes pierce the inside of the grow bag or coco slab and draw water and nutrient solution up from the tray to irrigate the substrate within.
- With the spikes removed, and capillary matting in place, the tray can take up to four standard sized seed trays, two micro herb trays, and any number of bottom perforated, fabric, or bio-pots, or the huge 23.5 gallon framed fabric planter.

FAQ:
Q: If I use this outside how do I prevent overwatering my plants?
A: Overwatering is mitigated by the use of an overflow plug on the tray when used outdoors. This prevents too much water from getting into the tray and drowning the plant. The good news is the grow bag is fabric and quick draining, as long as your substrate has adequate drainage you will be good!
Q: Are both the capillary mats and capillary spikes included with the Tray2Grow System?
A: Yes, you are equipped for either method of watering so now you need to decide if you need the microgreen trays or the raised planter or if you are going to use the included seed trays or capillary matting for use with pots and planters that you already have.
Q: What reservoir size will I need?
A: It's easier to say if you understand what you are growing and if it is outdoors in what type of climate. If you use it primarily for seed starting and micro greens or indoors and are around to refill it as needed, a 13-gal will be plenty.
If you are using the planter in a hot/dry outdoor environment and growing plants that require ALOT of water, we recommend a 25-gal+ flexitank. The bigger the tank, the longer between refills. If you use more than a few trays outdoors, you should go with a minimum of 25 gals. Call us with any questions!
