NOTICE: 

Please be advised that this recipe may experience a rise and fall in temperature during the pre-cooking process. However, we strongly recommend that growers take extra precautions to ensure that the soil temperature is safe for planting before doing so.

Mixing different types of compost and ingredients may cause the soil to heat up when combined in large quantities and watered. We recommend checking soil temperatures, especially when using more than 10 cubic feet of soil in a container.

THIS SOIL IS ALIVE: Our compost and potting soils are not sterilized during the manufacturing process, meaning they contain a variety of beneficial mites, fungus, and microbes. However, there may also be occasional unwanted fungus gnats. We make every effort to minimize their presence, but cannot guarantee their absence. To combat this possibility, we recommend purchasing beneficial insects or learning best practices to prevent population explosions.

Commercial Customers: NOTICE OF HEAVY METALS - New recipe improvements are lower heavy metals than ever before, however all organic potting soils will contain trace amounts of heavy metals. BuildASoil Light has lots of compost and amendments and commercial facilities should be sure to have Heavy Metal Compliance Program for your state to make sure you are in the clear. Each state varies. Home Growers need not concern as the commercial restrictions are significantly lower than even normal outdoor garden soil.
