Down to Earth Feather Meal (12-0-0) is a nitrogen-rich supplement derived from 100 percent dried, hydrolyzed ground poultry feathers. This is the ultimate slow-release fertilizer, making it ideal for working into the soil for crops harvested in early to late fall.

Nitrogen is one of the most critical nutrients required for all types of plant growth, from roots to leafy vegetables to flowers. Work it into soils during planting, and supplement monthly during the growing season to boost production from heavy feeding, long season, crops.

Directions:

• New Gardens: Apply 3 to 6 lbs per 100 sq. ft of garden space. 
• Trees and Shrubs: Mix 1 to 2 cups into transplant holes for new trees. Apply 1 lb per inch of trunk diameter around the drip line for established trees. Mix into soil and water.
• Containers: Add 1 to 2 tbsp per gallon of soil for new containers. For established containers, feed monthly with 1 to 2 tbsp per gallon.
