The Ultimate Solution for Indoor and Outdoor Gardening
The Autopot XL System is an advanced watering system designed to help indoor and outdoor gardening enthusiasts easily grow plants. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned gardener, the Autopot Systems will eliminate the guesswork of when and how much to water, preventing overwatering plants without using pumps or electricity to deliver water to your plants.
A 1" drainage layer is a must in all systems, up to 9 gallons, where at that point, we want the soil to have more contact with the watering trays. If you would like to skip the drainage layer, AirBases are reusable and replace the need for them.
AirDomes are compatible with all 1Pot systems, including the 1Pot XXL. They're great for pumping fresh oxygen into the bottom of the root mass for increased uptake and growth.
Save Time, Money, and Conserve Water!
Using a special valve, the AquaValve5, the system ensures that plants only receive water when needed, preventing drowning and water stagnation. Additionally, the system minimizes water waste by eliminating runoff and evaporation.
Using AutoPots not only save time and money by eliminating the need for hand-watering. You also save money from wasting nutrients having to water to runoff, plus, you no longer have to hire someone to watch your plants while on vacation, and you actually enjoy that vacation without wondering if your plants are in good hands.
This makes it an excellent choice for those who want to conserve water and reduce their environmental footprint while still producing healthy, thriving plants.
Gravity-Powered Watering System
All AutoPot Watering Systems are designed to function without the need for electricity or pressurized water, leading to significant savings in terms of time, money, and environmental impact. Each system comes with AQUAvalve5s that are finely tuned to the specific needs of every plant, ensuring that water and nutrient solutions are delivered only when necessary, with no wastage or recirculation.
What size AutoPot is best?
It depends on what you're growing, how long you want it in that container, and your goals.
Sizes range from 2.2-13g pots and soil isn't cheap, so it makes sense to understand that AutoPots allow you to feed unlimited water and nutrients to your plants, as long as you keep your reservoir filled. You've seen folks grow in a red solo cup or 1g pots to completion, it just requires constant watering and feeding, which here, is automated.
Plastic Autopots come in 2.2, 3.9, & 6.6 gallons, so if fabric pots are not your thing, these are the options. The 2.2g pot will get you medium-sized plants, the 3.9 with proper feeding will produce large plants, and the XL will allow for the largest plants and root systems.
The same concept applies to fabric pots and pot sizes. They include a 3,5,9,13 gallon size. The 5g fabric pot is our most common size. We've seen papaya trees in the XXL (9&13 gallon) systems. For all fabric pots / GeoPot AutoPots, the XL and XXL systems allow you to spin the pot around to access the other sides!
What's Included?:
Depending on the options selected, this product has a reservoir, irrigation tubing to seamlessly connect to your AutoPots, and fittings to keep your hose tidy and organized.

4Pot XL System includes:
There are typically several ways to arrange the 4Pot system, and it includes two cross-shaped parts that can form two rows of two, as well as four tee-shaped parts that can form a single row of four, similarly, with many of the other sizes. Please contact us if you would like to request a parts list of a system before ordering.
The PRO version includes four humidity domes, AirBases, and AirDomes. You will need an air pump to supply air to the AirDomes. Note there are no humidity domes for the fabric pot systems, so the pro version does not exist for these.
FAQ:
Q: How do AutoPots Work?
A: AutoPots utilize the principles of gravity and capillary action to provide plants with water and nutrients. The self-watering system comprises a tray situated over a water reservoir, with a valve regulating the water level in the tray. The valve allows additional water to flow from the reservoir into the tray as plants use the water supply. This means that the plants have a constant water supply without needing electricity, pumps, or timers and without sitting in stagnant water.
Q: How big does my plant have to use in AutoPots?
A: You can start seeds in Autopots, but don't turn the system on until the plants are established. As a general rule of thumb, in a 2.2gal Autopot, you want your plant to be ~6" tall. In a 6.6g XL system, 12". In the XXL, 12"+ is recommended.
Q: Why is there no AirBase for the AutoPot XXL?
A: At this size, it is best to have more contact with the base in order to meet the water requirements.
Q: Do I need a water pump in my reservoir?
A: If you're feeding nutrients through the system, then yes, you would want to have a water pump turn on for 15 minutes every couple of hours. You don't need it on full blast 24/7, but enough to keep the nutrients in solution. If you can't, stir it every time you pH your water or check the water level.
Q: What substrate can I use in AutoPots?
A: You must use something that holds moisture for the capillary action to work correctly. It should also drain well. Coco/perlite blends are great, living soil is great, and some even use rockwood cubes/chunks mixed with clay pebbles/hydroton.
